Immerse yourself in strategic training and learning workshops for Advanced Placement educators. AP® Summer Institutes for Teachers provides modern and engaging content and enriching resources necessary to lead a successful AP® course at your school. Dive into each section of the course and better understand the exam so you best prepare your students. These intensive workshops familiarize you with subject-specific AP® standards, course content and teaching methods, and help you to develop teaching strategies that best work for you. When educators gather together, it’s always a good time! This conference is a wonderful experience to network with your peers and develop supportive working relationships through professional development.

Develop strong syllabi and lesson plans while learning new teaching strategies for your students. Engage in content rich professional learning and learn new pedagogical tools to strengthen your teaching arsenal. Develop stronger course plans that incorporate ready to use strategies. Identify student strengths and weaknesses through planning reports and examine assessment items to identify targets to reinforce specific skill sets for your students.

Who Should Attend?

All registrants must have a College Board account to register for the 2025 Advanced Placement Summer Institutes. New AP instructors benefit from a thorough review of course descriptions, assessments, and course planning support. Experienced AP teachers exploring a new subject area or teaching a course with curriculum changes are encouraged to attend the workshops for valuable connections with their peers.

If you submitted an AP Participant Grant application through the College Board, we strongly encourage you to go ahead and register for your workshop, even if you are unsure of the status of your grant application. If you do not receive the grant, you or your school will need to make full payment at that time to hold your space in the course.

  • Instruction by a CollegeBoard-endorsed consultant
  • All course materials (CollegeBoard and workshop supplies)
  • Digital Certificate of Program Completion
  • Breakfast & lunch (Tuesday-Friday)

The registration fee does not cover parking and hotel accommodation.

Registrations or payments received after May 22 (Week 1) or June 20 (Week 3), will receive a digital copy of the course materials.

Online Format Registration Fee:

  • Electronic version of the College Board course materials sent via email
  • Access to uploaded materials in UGA's Learning Management System, Workshops will be held via Zoom

Cancellation, Refund, and Substitution Policy:

If we receive your cancellation notice in writing before the deadlines listed below, you may receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.

  • Week 1 (June 10 - 13): cancel on or before May 13, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Week 2 (June 23 - 27): cancel on or before May 27, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. ET
  • Week 3 (July 8 - 11): cancel on or before June 10, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. ET

Cancellations after the deadlines listed above will not be refunded. However, school systems may substitute another teacher for a paid participant in the same course.

Most courses require a minimum enrollment of 10 participants. Courses with insufficient enrollment will be canceled approximately 4 weeks before the workshop begins. Participants will be notified by email if a course is canceled due to low enrollment, and full refunds will be processed and submitted to the individual or school who paid the registration fee. The Georgia Center will not be responsible for any charges related to travel or other personal expenses.

All accounts must be paid in full prior to the start of the APSI. APSI registrations are confirmed only after payment has been received.

All payments are made directly to the University of Georgia and not the College Board.
