Apply the skills you learn in a real-world project
Book knowledge can only get you so far in the real world. To earn your Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate, you need to apply what you have learned by completing an improvement project.
You can begin working on the Project Capstone as soon as the instructor approves your project charter. Ideally, the best time to start the Project Capstone is one to two months after you begin the Leadership course. Exercises in the Leadership course will help you develop a project idea, craft a problem statement and draft a project charter.
Your instructor will assist you in choosing an appropriate project, review the progress reports you submit after each of the five Six Sigma project phases, and provide individual mentoring via live office hours throughout the project.
After successfully completing the project and program course work, you will earn the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
