• Introductory Governmental Accounting - Part I (24 hours/2.4 CEUs)
• Introductory Governmental Accounting - Part II (24 hours/2.4 CEUs)
• Intermediate Governmental Accounting - (36 hours/3.6 CEUs)
Each course within the Financial Management Governmental Accounting Program is designed to help you understand how to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to the transactions and events that occur in a government environment.
As you progress through the online courses, you will learn increasingly complex accounting principles and concepts. An online examination is provided for successful completion of each course. Upon successful completion of each course you may elect to receive University of Georgia Continuing Education Units.
In addition, upon successful completion of all three courses a Certificate of Completion from the University of Georgia is awarded to all enrollees who are not employed by either the State of Georgia or any Georgia local government.
Local government employees (in the State of Georgia) will receive a certificate as outlined in the Local Government Finance Officer Certification Program. Employees of the State of Georgia will receive a certificate as outlined in the State Financial Management Certificate Program.
